Van Dyken Mechanical boasts an in-house Engineering department with full HVAC design capabilities. This allows us to provide innovative solutions to complex client building and process HVAC needs. With our diverse experience and design capabilities, our engineers are able to assist our other teams with problem-solving and design solutions.
Building a better model
With full in-house BIM capabilities, Van Dyken Mechanical can add efficiencies to anything from a typical HVAC design to a fully coordinated BIM project. A fully coordinated BIM project optimizes communication and enables collaboration on complex projects before construction even starts. Each trade will create a 3D model for clash detection during the design process. Using software such as Navisworks, clashes can be identified before construction begins or even as changes are being made during construction. Pre-construction visualization can reduce the amount of onsite rework and avoid otherwise unforeseen issues. A fully coordinated BIM model can also generate construction drawings and provide field teams a clarification tool for highly congested areas.
Taking the LEED
At Van Dyken Mechanical, we are well-versed in all aspects of the LEED building process, having successfully designed many HVAC systems for West Michigan LEED-certified projects. We understand that sustainable construction is good for both the environment and for business, as building owners and facility managers are now experiencing the cost savings that typically result from adhering to LEED standards.
